Cleaned up the blanks for rudder and daggerboard.
Designed the section shape for rudder and daggerboard: round leading edge, taper trailing edge (9cm).
Played around with a mockup of the helm and rudder box.
I liked the concept of the Goat Island Skiff where the helm is an integral part of the rudder box.
If I were to copy the GIS approach I would stick the helm through the transom.
To lift the rudderbox of the transom would however require a big hole in the transom.
Also the distance between the rudder pintles would be a mere 23cm.
Not comfortable with it, so I decided to sleep over it.

Decided to stick with the Oz-style rudderbox but with the helm over the transom.
I removed the 'crown' from the transom and added a full width transom beam for the upper rudder pintle
and to provide extra strength.
The distance between the rudder pintles is now a reassuring 40cm.
- Created a backing plate for towing eye from hardwood.
- Created backing plate for lower rudder pintle.
- Trimmed transom.
- Rounded the leading edge of the rudder and daggerboard blanks with the router.
- Found that the port side of the aft deck beam was not glued properly.
Pried it loose and sanded the insides for repairing.
