Extracting the first few copper wires was a very hard job even after heating the wires with a soldering iron.
Therefore I contented myself to snip off the copper wires with a pair of pliers and grind down the stumps with a file.
My rationale is that even with 50C degrees the thermal expansion of copper wire will expand only 0.02mm for every 30mm of wire.
The epoxy will be used to encapsulate many items with different expansion coefficients, like glass, stainless steel, wood and of course plywood.
So I will just try and see how it goes.
