Limfjord Sailing Day 4:Layday in Doverodde

No sailing today as the weather forecast predicted heavy rain and Inge wanted to rest her sprained wrist.
After breakfast, Vincent and Inge went for a walk and met with Danish couple Marianne and Bert. Bert kindly took them by car to do some shopping in nearby Hurup.

Meanwhile the weather turned out windy and sunny, a perfect Sunday in summer. The fine weather attracted families catching crabs in the harbour and small motorboats touring around the fjord.

Klarie and I took our chairs to a floating shelter in the harbour and enjoyed the shade. When Vincent and Inge returned from their shopping they had bought bread, fresh vegetables and couscous for us. A welcome change from our diet of tortillas, tinned tomatoes, noodles and nuts!

I put the solar panel on the jetty to charge our PowerBrick from 75% to full capacity in 3 hours. People walking around the harbour saw our Dutch flags and asked if we had sailed all the way from Holland.
Later on, Bert and Marianne visited the harbour to admire our boats and chat with the four of us. At the end of the long Sunday afternoon the harbour was empty again and the clouds returned.

While it rained outside we cooked our food at the sailing club and had dinner under the veranda.
